Dr. Brian Ribeiro is an elected member of the UTC Council of Scholars and also a past President of the Tennessee Philosophical Association. He is the author of nearly two dozen scholarly articles and has recently finished a book focusing on the skeptical philosophies of Sextus, Montaigne, and Hume. Dr. Ribeiro teaches a wide range of courses, including Western Philosophical Traditions I & II, Introduction to Philosophy, The History of Modern European Philosophy, Epistemology, The History of Skepticism, The Philosophy of David Hume, Atheism & Agnosticism, and Philosophical Eschatology. Dr. Ribeiro holds a UC Foundation Professorship and has served at UTC since 2004.
